Inside the guest rooms, which have just been renovted, guests will find "color tones [which] are in harmony with the village's forest setting." Also expect French windows, antique doorknobs, original black and white photography by Helmut Horn, LCD TVs, heated floors, seating areas and soaking tubs in select rooms. There's also room service, spa services and valet parking.
So all this sounds wonderful right? But when we headed over to TripAdvisor to check the reviews, several guests had mixed feelings about the place. Many felt it was way overpriced and the service was lacking.
Another thing that hurts is indeed it's location close to town, which can be noisy. Also, the place doesn't have A/C which we definitely did not need on our trip to Carmel this July (it was cold!) so just hope you don't get a hot summer's night when you stay there.
Room rates start at $400 a night.
