Fontainebleau Miami Update :: Nothing to See Here, Folks
We made a quickie phone call to Fontainebleau Miami and cleared up a bit of the confusion we had earlier this summer with regard to the resort's current operating status.
Right now, only two of the resort's towers -- the Tresor Tower and the Sorrento Tower -- are open and operating. The rest of the property is undergoing a $1 billion renovation, which, we were informed today, means there's currently no open and operating restaurants, no spa, no main pool and the Chateau and Versailles buildings are both closed as well.
Yikes. Rates for tonight can be as cheap-o $192.00, but do you really want to stay in a half-opened resort?
Yeah, didn't think so. We might gently suggest you hold out until the (rumored) October 18th soft re-opening* -- or, better yet, wait until the giant grand November 14th re-opening that coincides with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
*We say rumored because the staffer we spoke to today said "what? October 18th? No, I don't think we're reopening then. That's, like, October."
