In our next profile of Original Boutique Hotels, we head on down to Hotlanta to a sensual boutique experience from Desires Hotels--the company behind Hotel Mela in New York, the Sagamore in Miami Beach and the upcoming Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee.

The Glenn Hotel was the first boutique hotel in Atlanta and its historic address--a renovated 1923 office building--gives plenty of Manhattan attitude to this 110-room urban retreat. And inside the guest rooms it gets even better.

The Jezebel Suite exudes a certain come-fuck-me feel best illustrated by the room's deep soaking tub (for two!) and the clear, glass walls that separate it from the actual bedroom. Remember, this is the hotel that was too sexy for the Times.

It's also worth mentioning that the gossamer curtains on the windows filter the light in a way that makes everyone look good naked (and also makes us wonder if the designer was a woman).

But alas, it seems that the craftsmen behind this room concept didn't have their minds as deeply entrenched in the gutter as we do; the glass wall surrounding that treasure chest of a tub allows its auspicious soaker to view the plasma television in the bedroom.

And the gossamer curtains? A "color and texture inspired by earth elements and human emotions." Need we mention that lust is a human emotion?

Maxim Magazine also pegged the Glenn Hotel as a celebration of sexual tension, since the magazine opened its first restaurant, Maxim Prime Steakhouse, at the hotel this year. Restaurateur Jeffrey Choworow of China Grill Management is overseeing this first of several Maxim Prime locations.

But the hotel has one other sweet spot that cinches its standing as an authentic boutique hotel: the rooftop bar. The open-air sipping station, its sweeping city views and cool cocktails is undoubtedly the spot where Atlanta's sophisticate set go for a Carrie Bradshaw moment.
