Sandestin Resort Gets a Zip Line, But Is That Enough?

Who'd want to pick a hotel according to the best rooms or a great restaurant when you could choose Florida's Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort because of its new zip line?

Yep, we admit that we can be sold by something like this, and so Northwest Florida's Sandestin Resort's whole Baytowne Adventure Zone sounds like something we could get into. The zip line has some nice figures: it runs 52 feet above the ground and takes you 650 from tower to tower, giving great (but fast) views over the Baytowne Wharf area.

The zip line's not all--there's also a new ropes course to get you out of your comfort zone a bit plus euro-bungy, climbing wall and four golf courses, in case one or two just aren't enough for you.

The only catch is that a bunch of TripAdvisor reviews speak not-so-highly of the Sandestin resort, claiming it's disorganized, overdeveloped and unfriendly. If you can live with that for the sake of a zip line then family of four package deals go for $366 a night including breakfast.

The zip line itself will cost you $18, and you can swipe it onto your resort room key if that's easier.
