Having toured an ocean-front room, our suggestion would be to save your romantic beach views for dinner time and opt for one of the beautifully redone "city view" rooms.
The hotel also boasts an indoor and outdoor pool and full spa amenities; however we found some of these facilities to be dated.
Dining options both in-hotel and out are thorough with a beautiful continental breakfast offered daily in the hotel's main restaurant "La Regence".
If you're looking for a different sort of hotel stay, Intercontinental Hotels entered the Tel Aviv hotel market with their business-styled hotel David Tel Aviv. This hotel is located closer to the beautiful Neve Tzedek district where cafes and independent fashion boutiques are plentiful.
Also consider the Shenkin / White City neighborhood. Shenkin Street is largely filled with cafes and bars--apparently one of the places to go out all night. If you turn down towards the south off Shenkin you enter the "White City" where the winding streets lead to world renowned examples of Bauhaus architecture.
Many new boutique hotels are opening in this area and over towards Rothschild. I believe Richard Meier is involved with one project and Trump another.
Other non-boutique hotel suggestions are the beachfront Hilton, which is further north towards the port, and the Sheraton, also beachfront and closer to the Dan Tel Aviv.
Thanks P! Have you stayed at the Dan Tel Aviv? Tell us what you thought here.
