We hate to be a buzzkill here on a Monday morning but we have to remind you that summer doesn't last forever and before you know it Labor Day weekend will be here soon.

If you're thinking about making one last run before the unofficial end of Summer, you should start reserving your rooms now.

Several hotels have summer packages that expire Sept. 1 like this one from the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. The Cable Car package offers a guestroom and two all-day tickets on the city's famous Cable Cars.

We checked the rates for Labor Day and they are $240 each night from August 29 to September 1. Interestingly, this package was offered way back in April and the hotel has dropped the rate by $10. It was previously $250 a night.

But if you're not into cable cars and want to save a little bit more money, then book the Hyatt.com rate (which requires full payment and has cancellation penalties). We found a room on August 29th for $185. That jumped to $249 and $209.00 for Saturday and Sunday.

Not sure a Hyatt is worth that much but the hotel does have a newly renovated 24-hour StayFit @ Hyatt Fitness Center plus an outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi and pool tables at Knuckles, which was voted the "Best Sports Bar in San Francisco." And with the Fisherman's Wharf just steps away, there will be plenty of things to do nearby.

The rates are $149/night for San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf when I checked five minutes ago and available for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights Aug 29-Sep 1.

A San Francisco CityPass card for $54/adult will grant access to most museums and public transportation in San Francisco, including cable cars for 7 days.
