Fashion Week Hotels: Cole Haan Will Upgrade You, Buy Drinks

August 28, 2008 at 12:49 PM | by JetSetCD | 0 Comments

"Lucky You," Manhattanites. During September 5-10 you may just find your cab fare paid if your taxi has these words emblazoned on the side.

Cole Haan, an American brand known for their quality leather shoes and bags, celebrates their 80th Anniversary on September 5, coinciding with Fashion Week in New York.

Since this also marks a period where tastemakers and the fashion elite rely on car services and hotel rooms as headquarters, Cole Haan has a strategy to influence by sending subliminal messages through random bump-ups.

They're not stopping with cab fare; should you be really lucky, you might hit on all their promotions including free room upgrades, drinks, meals and amenities at a few of the city's hotels.

The gifts will be random, so don't go pumping the concierge to comp your room service.

Participating New York hotels include The Alex Hotel, Bryant Park Hotel, Dream Hotel, Time Hotel, Night Hotel, The Chambers Hotel and Hotel Mela. Other cities will also get a taste of the free upgrades without Fashion Week at Chicago's The James Hotel, Hotel Sax, Affinia and San Francisco's Hotel Monaco, The Prescott Hotel, and Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

Imagine having your cab back from the Fashion Week tents at Bryant Park paid for by Cole Haan, then stepping into your Cole Haan-upgraded room at the Night Hotel as a bellboy follows you with a much-needed stiff drink, also on Cole Haan.

You might start to love Cole Haan, maybe use their accessories in a photo shoot or perhaps purchase one of their woven leather bags over a Bottega Veneta. Yea, maybe we'll just enjoy that free cab and call it a day.
