Loyalty Program News :: Earn a Free Night at Hyatt Fast

If by some chance, you didn't earn a free night at a Hyatt this summer, there's another chance for you to do so this fall.

Hyatt Gold Passport members should be giddy at the easy free nights they can pick up during the leaf-peeping season.

Beginning September 1, Hyatt guests enrolled in the Gold Passport program will earn one free night after every two paid nights. Of course the usual rules apply -- nights booked on cheapie sites like Priceline and Hotels.com don't count. And if you're sleeping courtesy of an airline voucher, forget it. That doesn't count either.

But if you book the night through the usual channels, and pay with a MasterCard, you'll score 2,000 Bonus Points -- icing on the cake.

But using the free nights may not be such a piece of cake. Noted high up in the the Terms and Conditions is a stipulation:

"A minimum of a three-night award stay is required for Faster Free Nights Award(s) redemption in non-resort hotels during mid-week (i.e., Monday through Thursday). One or two-night stays at non-resort hotels are available on weekends only."

Oh, and if you were planning to stay in the Hyatt Regency Paris -- Madeleine, think again. It's excluded from this promotion, along with the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego.

If you can dig the rules and regs and are looking for the cheapest rooms to take advantage of this deal, check these (nonrefundabe) rates that our friends on the FlyerTalk forums have recently turned up:

·Hyatt Place Nashville Northeast $66.75
·Hyatt Place Las Vegas (weekday) $74.25
·Hyatt Place Phoenix North $66.75
·Hyatt Place Fremont/Silicon Valley $59.25
·Hyatt Place Rancho Cordova $59.25
