Death Comes Again to the Hotel Chelsea

This has been a turbulent year for the Hotel Chelsea. Regular readers of HotelChatter know all about the hostile takeover, the Bring Back the Bards movement, a serial hoarder and much more.

Now some really sad news come out of the place. A woman was found dead in her ninth-floor apartment. The NY Daily News reports:

The body of Angela O'Conner, 46, was discovered lying faceup on the bed in her ninth-floor apartment just after 8 p.m. on Friday, police said. Neighbors had smelled a strong odor coming from her apartment and called 911, police said. There were no signs of injury to O'Conner's body and there was no indication that someone had broken into the apartment, police said.

No signs of foul play were found and it is believed that O'Conner suffered from a long-existing medical condition. Hotel Chelsea is also the scene of where Sid Vicious stabbed his girlfriend Nancy to death in 1978.
