Breaking Down the Loews Girlfriend Getaway Offerings

We're not usually a fan of the term Girlfriend Getaway or the term girlfriend in general. Unless it's an actual girlfriend of the dating variety. So we tend to shy away from packages marketed to "girlfriends" where you're suggested to "grab your favorite BFF for a spa day!"

But a package is a package and if you're trying to save money or trying to make the most of a staycation, these can be fun alternatives. Also, it helps to have a pre-planned getaway, especially if you have poor planning skills.

The newest batch of Girlie trips now come from Loews Hotels.

We can't decide which of the new line up of Loews Girlfriend Getaways we personally would want to do, but these are the best three:

Desert Divas in Las Vegas
Winning feature: The SpahhhhBana, a poolside cabana, with relaxing music, magazine, spa products, snacks, "chilled" towels, etc, etc. would keep us from spending too much at the casinos and we'd return home relaxed! A first for a visit to Vegas. Besides, it includes a late check out which is always needed in Sin City. Rates start at $595 for two.

Girl's Night In in San Diego
Winning feature: We love all the massage options, but a promise of midnight ice cream sundae delivery is the most tempting! Rates start at $589 for two.

Swing, Saddle Up, and Drive in Tuscon
Winning feature: This package is not about pillow fights and taking Sex quizzes while slopping green goo on your face for 20 minutes. Instead, you get a lesson with a golf pro, an afternoon horseback ride, topped off with a Swedish massage. However, all that is a little pricer. Rates start at $905 for two.

One final note: We don't think you actually have to be female to book these. It actually doesn't say anything like "Proof of Gender Required" so these might also work as a bromance getaways. Paging Matthew McConaughey and Lance Armstrong.
