Two Things That Don't Go Together: "Bargain" and "Fashion Week"

Lord knows there is nothing remotely reasonable about Fashion Week--unattainable beauty, unattainable clothes, unattainable party invites for anyone who is not Anna Wintour or Nina Garcia--but New Yorkology has the scoop on the latest Fashion Week packages from the W Hotel New York on Lexington, and the pricing is--dare we say it?--reasonable.

A rate of $899 almost looks like a bargain when you consider what it gets you: a night in a suite; two cocktails at the hotel's Living Room; two seats to a fashion show; passes to the backstage lounge with two VIP backstage tours; Bliss's Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask; and a late 3 p.m.-check out.

Of course, once you consider the amount of money you'll have to spend on clothing just to fit in with those fashion editrixes, any semblance of a good deal gets tossed away like last season's neon trend.

New York Fashion Week takes place September 5-12.
