Once again, Jet Set Life's Kimberly Murgatroyd returns with another VIP Hotel Review. You may recall her last visit at the Don Carlos Resort in Marbella. This time she's chillaxing in Mykonos at The Belvedere Hotel. Enjoy.

Some jet-set destinations come and go, but Mykonos has actually been an island getaway dating back to the 11th century BC. This island is so sexy that even Zeus fought over it! Enough history, let's get to the good stuff.

My husband and I did a two week stint for our yearly honeymoon during mid-July when the season, which in my opinion, is perfect. The weather is warm, yet not humid. The island is crawling with a mix of weekend visiting Athenians and the beautiful Italians.

For those in the know,The Belvedere Hotel is the only hotel on the island that delivers the kind of service, vibe and consistently chic attitude that you want from your Greek island getaway.

Upon our arrival to the white gates of the Belvedere hotel, we are immediately sucked into a world of white-on-white style. All it takes is the authentically warm greeting from the staff and we realize that we are finally home.

Our room is modern, clean and definitely sexy. We walk our way to the double doors that lead to the balcony. Once outside our hearts flutter with the spectacular view of the perfectly hip and relaxing pool, all-white Mykonos Town and the blue waters of the Aegean Sea.

With a room like this and a beautiful view we agree that the average price of 500 Euros is definitely worth it. After we recover from our delight, check email via $15 per day WiFi and unpack, we walk into the port. Which, with the hotel's perfect location on the edge of town, is simple.

Once we've had enough exploring in town, we head back to the serenity of The Belvedere. It's time to examine the grounds of the hotel itself. The decor of this chic boutique hotel is pure, simple and traditionally white.

With just 40 rooms and suites, a gym, pool and two restaurants, they make great use of the space. While dining at The Belvedere Club restaurant (which has an amazing Greek salad), we notice that our favorite NYC store, Scoop, has a location here.

We slip in, purchase new sexy swim wear and join the hard bodies relaxing on loungers by the pool. As we're lying there, we're wondering if that's really Brad and Angelina next to us or is it just really good look-a-likes.

When the sun begins its nightly dip into the ocean, groups gather on the upper deck to watch it's departure. After we watch the last yellow burst go into the sea, we retire to your room for a short nap. Once we emerge, we notice that the pool area has been transformed into a sexy lounge filled with white linen clad patrons, complete with a DJ and the famed Matsuhisa Restaurant by Nobu.

This is the most popular restaurant in Mykonos and luckily, the reception has made us a reservation with for a poolside. As we enter the restaurant, we are greeted by the servers with the traditional Japanese welcome of "Irrashaimase".

Once we are seated, we glance to the table beside us and notice the man himself, Nobu Matsuhisa and his family enjoying the creative Japanese cuisine he has become famous for worldwide. What a night, what a hotel, what an experience.

The experience of The Belvedere offers is worth every Euro. However, what makes this hotel shine is the staff. They anticipated our every need; securing the best tables, car service, VIP nightclub entrance and anything else your little heart desires.

Every staff member regardless if they're parking your scooter at night, making your dinner reservation or pouring you a glass of Rosé are amazing. They are truly the soul of this sexy boutique hotel.

Thanks Kimberly! Readers, check out the video Kimberly did poolside at the Belvedere too.

LOVE the Belvedere - but I have to take issue with Jet Set Girl. The rooms are the least sexy element of the place. They're cramped and sort of drab, without the same sense of style you get by the pool or in the restaurant. (I mean, just look at the dinky furniture, the cheap-looking closet door, and that painting above the bed - ugh!) But other than that, the place really is sexy - and she's right that the staff is awesome. You're paying 500 euros to be in the middle of the scene, but not really for a luxury hotel experience.
P.S. Nobu takes a vacation there every July, or so I hear.

actually jetset girl told me that the Belvedere is redoing the rooms and they should be completed by fall.

we debated over putting up a room pic since the rooms won't look that way pretty soon but i decided that the room pic above should suffice. if anything, it shows that the hotel was majorly in need of redoing those rooms!

when the Belvedere does get its new room pics we'll post 'em right here on HotelChatter. thanks for telling us what you thought!
