Some of the theme rooms:
· Honky Tonk Afro (shown above): 1970s theme with lime color scheme.
· Monochrome Marilyn: Everything devoted to Marilyn Monroe.
· Casablanca Nights: A Moroccan fantasy come to life.
· Metallica: Sadly, not devoted to the band but rather to all things metal.
Naturally, the quirky eccentric feel of the hotel has made it a popular backdrop for high fashion shoots. There is even a page on the website detailing "This Month's Photo Shoots." However, much like supermodels without their makeup, this hotel looks better in magazines than in person.
The Times UK reports: The Pavilion may look good in a glossy mag, but it's not the greatest place to stay. Traffic noise poured through the windows. The bed was squidgy. The shower-room was minuscule. It was cold, and I couldn't get the radiator to work. The receptionist told me that room service - there is no restaurant - was "unavailable, the kitchen's closed".
A small single starts at £60, a Double/Twin at £100, and a Family Suite which sleeps two adults and two children starts at £130, although be forewarned if you stay here with kids you will get a lot of questions from them. Also, remember Pete Doherty once stayed here.
