Why the hold up? Well the Observer put in their two-cents as to why many boutique hotels seem to be constantly delayed, focusing on Jason Pomeranc (you know, king of soft-openings at Thompson Hotels) who said:
"It's really more important for us to design and create an impressive product, and one that we are going to be proud of and lasts a very long time, than it is to rush things and have something be extraordinarily commercial and uninteresting."
We're guessing Curtis Bashaw would say the same. Until then, we'll be keeping abreast of The Chelsea AC's soft-opening status here.
