easyHotel Finds Expansion Easy

The folks over at extreme budget chain easyHotel have an ambitious goal of introducing 200 hotels in 10 years (it took them three years since the chain's 2005 debut to implement five hotels) and thanks to a new development deal with the UK-based Eclipse Hotel Group, easyHotel will put up 10 more properties across the UK over the next four years.

Apparently, "the easyHotel brand and super-budget model have significant growth potential in the UK," Eclipse Hotel Group's Managing Director, Sameer Damji, said in a press statement. Perhaps that's because everything in the UK is so bloody expensive? Drop those pounds already!

EasyHotel already has properties in London and Luton, with plans to open a Heathrow property in October and another in Liverpool in 2009.

Mysteriously, there is no mention of easyHotel South Kensington anywhere on the web site (we visited the property as recently as May)--do we assume the property vanished into thin air or is there someone out there who can clue us in?

    We are not sure what you mean about hiding the Kensington Hotel - we now have 4 hotels in London, with London Luton just added, and we are not hiding them, we are proud of them all!
    Heathrow and Paddington are coming soon, so there are even more great value rooms for people looking for simple comfort and great prices in London.
    We are expanding both the number and the countries covered by easyHotel after we have worked very hard researching and developing the product to offer great value and great opportunites for people to enjoy world class cities at out of town prices.
