1, 2, 3 Pretty Good Reviews of Gloria Estefan's New Hotel
We dropped in on our trusty pal TripAdvisor to check in on Gloria Estefan's new Vero Beach hotel, Costa D'Este, now that it's been open for a few weeks.
And the verdict? All three guest reviews have given the hotel four out of five stars. Guests were satisfied with the location (rooms "20 feet from the pool and 50 yards from the ocean"), the rooms and even the green attributes like "green flushing instructions."
There were, of course, a few service-related kinks that needed to be worked out, but that's to be expected of a brand new hotel (though still unacceptable) - but user goldring suggested maybe the staff should go to the Ritz for training (ooooh, burn!)
Cited among the good: the rooms, furniture and views were "exquisite." The restaurant, Oriente, apparently has "the best food in Vero Beach" as well.
But user FLdaytripper caught the bad:
Drawbacks--our room service tray sat by our door for 2 days. Pretty sloppy. Also, the layout is wierd. You have to walk outside by the pool or through a little storage area by the stairs to get from the lobby to the rooms. Not a problem our weekend but it could be bad if it was raining.
We also hear there's a DJ all day by the pool, and he moves into the restaurant after dinner when it turns into a nightclub -- no word yet on whether his sets are all Gloria all the time. We can only hope.
