To celebrate the completion of a $138 million renovation, the Marriott Atlanta Marquis threw a totally over-the-top blowout hosted by the one and only David Marriott.

Apparently, those Marriott folks know how to throw a good party. Along with the go-go girls in attendance and some fairly serious adult refreshments to make them look even better, the shindig featured a chick pouring tequila shots from a trapeze. Um, AWESOME.

The new and improved Atlanta Marquis was throwing the party to show off its hot new look, which includes a completely redone 47-story atrium lobby -- renamed the "M.i. Great Room" -- and a gigantic new ballroom to accommodate 2,000.

The Marquis, which holds the title of the third-largest Marriott in the world, also added a couple new spots to grab some munchies (perhaps for the partygoers who have had enough of the tequila trapeze lady):

Sear, a signature restaurant offering fire-inspired cuisine, High Velocity, a lively, tech-savvy sports bar and Pulse - a classically cool cocktail lounge located in the atrium featuring a 50-foot color changing sail - the new iconic symbol of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

Yes yes ok but: tequila shots poured from a TRAPEZE. A trapeze! David Marriott, man, you're alright in our book.

    wow. the marriotts are supposedly mormon, but its cool they aren't inflicting their religious views on temperance onto others...or at least the trapeze artists!
