AC's Chelsea Teases Us With Ribbon Cutting But At Least It's Partially Open

Go To The Hotel's Web
Site Where: 111 South Chelsea Avenue [map], Atlantic City, NJ, United States, 08401

Last Friday The Chelsea, which is calling itself Atlantic City's first non-casino boutique hotel in decades had their ribbon cutting announcing their Grand Opening.. buuuuttt -- the real opening won't be until August 1st.

Huh?

Yep.. Guests have been staying at The Chelsea since the beginning of July, and the Chelsea's website has been taking reservations since then - but not all the rooms are finished, and none of the amenities are opening until August 1st.

That means in order to eat at Stephen Starr's Chelsea Prime, or Teplitzky’s, or enjoy all that The 5th Floor has to offer - come back after August 1st.

Going to AC this weekend and can't wait? Rooms are available now starting at a pre-opening price of $149 per night (but then going to $399 on Saturday night) - that's about half off their regular rate.

No word if the front desk will bring you cotton-candy, funnel cakes, or those huuuuge slices of pizza from the boardwalk since room service has not started yet.

Hey, we're just happy that they're not opening Thompson Hotel Style..
