SLS Hotel Will Feature In-Room Fitness Equipment

The man that we just happen to share an apartment with pulled out an interesting article in his recent issue of Men's Journal that he thought we might like.

It turns out that whenever the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles opens (September/December?), it will have special rooms that are equipped with in-room fitness gear.

These exercise suites will come with "built-in weighted cables and pulleys."

The DeZeen blog has a snippet from the press release on the rooms after the jump.

The 297-room SLS at Beverly Hills...will include seven "Fitness Suites" customized by leading Italian fitness training equipment manufacturer, Technogym. These fitness suites will showcase Technogym's new Kinesis Personal equipment and Specialized Kinesis trainers will be available on call to hotel guests looking to enhance their in-room exercise program.

Since our scanner seems to be on hiatus, we had to capture a picture of the exercise suite with our cellphone. We know it's not the best shot but we're kinda not liking the pulley system on the mirror. It makes you feel as if you are in a gym, not a hotel. But maybe gym rats like Madonna and Carrot Top will appreciate that.

As for an opening date, we're not sure when this hotel will open and we have a feeling SLS is confused about their opening date too. The hotel's website says: "Hotel Opens September 30, 2008. Taking Reservations Nov 1." Um...right. Photographic evidence after the jump.
