Snapshot :: The Plaza Bed Spotted in Santa Monica

We didn't know that the legendary New York hotel, The Plaza was churning out their very own brand of mattresses until we stopped into a mattress store in Santa Monica over the weekend.

The Plaza has partnered with Stearns & Fosters mattresses to create special mattresses which are actually used in the hotel. (Or so they say.)

Another fun fact? The different types of mattresses are named after the different room categories in the hotel like Edwardian room, The Terrace room and the Louis XV elite. Even other parts of the hotel get a shout-out like the Oak Bar and the Palm Court.

As for us, well we're partial to the Terrace Room Firm. Too bad the mattress prices are just as ritzy as the hotel room rates as they begin around $2,000.
