Trump Tower Dubai Not Really Trump
Oh, The Donald. Always causin' everyone troubles.
Since Donald Trump is an international kind of dude, we can't say we were particularly surprised to learn that there were some major conflicts a-brewing with the terms of the Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai deal.
There was a bit of press saying that The Donald and the property's developer, Nakheel Hotels, were involved in a dispute over who will actually own the property (located on the big fake island Palm Jumeirah). And whether that's true or not, both camps wanted to lay some rumors to rest.
From Gulf News:
"The terms and conditions of the agreement are confidential although it is envisaged that upon completion, the hotel component of the building will be owned by Nakheel Hotels, with the Trump Organisation having an ongoing involvement in its management," [Nakheel CEO Chris] O'Donnell said.
Well, at least you can sleep a little bit easier knowing there is at least one more piece of the world that Trump doesn't own - although he will be owning one of the 399 units in the complex. Naturally.
Why not the penthouse, D? If anyone were going to cough up the dough for the estimated $30 million selling price (!), it would be you.
