It's in a fairly hip part of Melbourne and with a tram right outside you can get to either the city center or the St Kilda beach area really easily.
Some criticize it as being "light on facilities" like a restaurant or a bar, but we don't reckon you can expect those things from a 21-room boutique hotel. What it does seem to have is a Kwik-E-Mart at the front door (or is it built in as part of the hotel?) which is, we guess, a kind of facility, although not one that really sits with the charm of a boutique hotel. Guess you can't have everything.
Room rates start at A$125 (US$120) for a standard ensuite room (although there are budget rooms with shared bathrooms if you're really on a budget) and top of the range is the Presidential Spa Room at A$178 (US$170); we're fairly sure no president has ever stayed there, though.
