Last week, HotelChatter entered Tribeca Grand Hotel hoping for some of their famous brunch goodness, only to be told by an employee at the restaurant that the brunch was repealed due to the recession. While disappointing, the excuse was not unbelievable given today's crappy economy.
Yet a rep for the hotel wanted to let us know that the brunch at Tribeca Grand actually goes on hiatus every summer and it has nothing to do with the recession or food shortages. The official flack statement is after the jump.
Every summer Grand Sunday Brunch goes on hiatus due to lower seasonal volume and people's desire to be outdoors in the summer sun. I can assure you it is definitely not due to food costs.
Like you, we love Tribeca Grand's Grand Sunday Brunch, between the delicious buffet, the spicy Bloody Marys and the classic movies in the private theatre downstairs. You can rest assured it will be back, better than ever, come September* and we would love to have you join us.
Thanks for staying with us and enjoying the other signature services we have to offer our guests, the gold fish, the bicycles, the iPod, we always appreciate your feedback and support.
*(In the interim, we serve a fabulous Brunch at Soho Grand's Yard for you to try...)
So there you have it. Craving a "Grand" brunch in NYC this summer, head to the Soho Grand.
