Calling all health-nuts, meatheads and normal people who enjoy working out: the first two Renaissance ClubSport properties have opened in Cali -- the first in Walnut Creek and the second more recently in Aliso Viejo corporate park.

Marriott and NorCal health club development firm Leisure Sports, Inc. have teamed up to create the new concept, which essentially boasts the same higher-end features of most Renaissance properties with monster fitness offerings.

Active.com had the scoop:

Because the hotel's fitness facility doubles as a full-fledged health club for locals, hotel guests benefit from complimentary access to a gaggle of cardio and strength machines, literally a ton of free weights, a multitude of classes (e.g., yoga, cycling, aerobics, dance, pilates, etc.), and a competition-quality outdoor 25-meter lap pool.

If all those hard bodies and shiny machines don't guilt you into working out while you're traveling, you can bribe yourself to work out with the promise of a massage from the R spa after your sweat session.

Hopefully, as the 20+ of these planned ClubSport properties continue to roll out, travelers' bellies will begin to stop rolling over their jeans.
