Thompson LES Cutting It Close For Next Week's Opening

Curbed peeked into the lobby of the upcoming Thompson LES and next week's opening is looking pretty diecy. Curbed reports:

A visit to the site today reveals that the scaffolding and blockades surrounding the Allen Street entrance have been removed, allowing passersby to scope out the lobby. The equipment looks very much ready to go. The walls are adorned in some sort of rock. And as for the bowling-pin-type decor behind the front desk, your guess is as good as ours. The Orchard Street side is still a little, shall we say, rough.

And by rough, Curbed means this.

So far, the reservations team is still saying July 22nd is the opening date. And while Thompson Hotels has missed a few of their dates in the past, we don't think they would push back the opening date again once they have hit the T minus 7 days mark. To us, it just looks like a typical Thompson piecemeal opening.

Then again, who knows? Thompson likes to live on the edge when it comes to openings.
