The Opposite House opens this month in Beijing and it appears awash with comfort, style and, just for fun, loads of movie references.

The property's 99 rooms are said to be the largest in Beijing, with more than half being over 230 square feet. Rooms are simply decorated with natural wood floors and white bedding--ultimately looking like a set from The Karate Kid got a luxurious and contemporary upgrade, replete with rain showers, flatscreen TVs, mood lighting and free Wi-Fi.

What makes this hotel stand out from the rest popping up around Beijing in preparation for the Olympics is its emerald glass exterior (channeling The Wizard of Oz's Emerald City, perhaps?), and a stainless steel swimming pool, designed to reflect natural light and fiber-optic lighting. (We're at a loss of which movie this reminds us of here, but it certainly sounds like the perfect setting for one doesn't it?)

Rates start at a very Hollywood-like $452 per night. Plus, this place may even be tougher to get into than Hyde, as it's booked solid for its first two months.
