The Madness Called Immersion Spa:
The Immersion Spa is being marketed as a "2-Story Spa In the Sky" which makes you think that it floats in the air or something, but we checked and it's fully connected to the Water Club and you won't fall off the sides, as floor to ceiling windows will hold you back. Immersion is considered higher end than the Borgata's Spa Toccare, and is a lot smaller than Spa Toccare. If you look through their Spa Menu, you can see a lot of Asian influences with their treatments, some of which are being offered to the East Coast for the first time.

Facilities, Oh The Facilities:
Upon checking in for your spa appointment, you are served a "calming warm drink" of honey and ginger and escorted into the Men's or Women's waiting rooms. The waiting rooms are available to Spa customers all day long on the day of your treatment. You can occupy yourself before or after a treatment by lounging on the chairs, using the sauna, Jacuzzi, or "cold plunge" a special Jacuzzi kept at 50-58 degrees used to cool your body after a workout. Additionally there is a "Deluge Experience" shower, which we compared to a fire hose shooting down water from the ceiling.

There are 16 treatment rooms, including two couple's rooms which have Jacuzzis, and three "Wet-rooms" which is lined with limestone and offers water treatment massages. All the rooms have unbelievable views of the Atlantic City skyline or the bay, but you probably won't even notice since you'll be a little predisposed with your treatment.

The spa also offers a 75-foot long lap pool in a room that has a 42 foot high ceiling and surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. Yea. Intense. Next to the pool is a 25 person Jacuzzi, so hopefully you've brushed up on your social skills before you checked in.

The Water Club's Geoffrey Zakarian also has a special spa food menu and the staff of the Spa is trained to suggest something that would go well with your treatment. For those who want to work out there is a full fitness room in the spa that is available to Spa customers. Water Club guests have to pay $30 if they don't have a spa treatment, Borgata guests are still not allowed.

Bottom Line:
If you are looking for an entire day to relax and calm yourself - the Immersion Spa is well worth it. The cost for treatments are a little on the high end, (80 minute traditional massage will set you back $210), but if you spend the day at Immersion using everything it offers-- the pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, it ends up being a pretty inexpensive mini-vacation within a vacation. If you just have time for a treatment and that's it - you're almost wasting your money by not taking advantage of everything else the spa has to offer.
