Throughout the hotel is art that is a mixture of tributes to energy, like the extremely large, slowly-moving gears in the lobby, several large, slowly-moving steel turbines on the ceiling in the restaurant and black and white photographs of Downtown Dallas especially commissioned for the hotel.
For those who are feeling adventurous, you can go for a dip in the outdoor rooftop pool which partially hangs off the side of the building. And it has plexiglas sides for those feeling exhibitionist-y too. See the awesomeness here. There is also a fully decked out deluxe gym, and in-room spa services.
For dinner, the famous Charlie Palmer has opened "Charlie Palmer's" - very original name there Charlie - and he is also going to be operating the "Cellar Bar" located in the...Cellar. (Mr. Palmer, work on the names in the future please, we feel like we're going to hang out in our local Macy's basement.)
The Joule should definitely live up to the standards of The Luxury Collection which only allows unique, one-of-a-kind hotels to join it's rosters. Maybe this will be the hotel to help bring downtown Dallas back to life.
