Hotel Giraffe Appealing to Your Inner Diva and Cosmopolitan Poledancer
By now, we all know Manhattan hotels have been giddily banking on the popularity of the new Sex and the City movie, rolling out everything from SATC-themed packages (for Midwestern ladies looking to replicate the girls' lifestyles for a weekend) to "No Sex in the City" promos (for those of us who are sick of all the hype and, you know, our boyfriends).
But we think Hotel Giraffe has every reason to create a SATC-themed package: the hotel's penthouse was used as the set for Big's apartment in the movie (who knew?)
Hotel Giraffe's new "Diva's Only Weekend Experience" is the perfect getaway for girlfriends looking to "channel Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda" or maybe for single women who just want to grab a friend and escape to the city to -- if we may quote Fergie -- "stop chasing them boys and shop some more."
The package includes:
Two nights accommodations in a deluxe guestroom, which features two double beds and French doors that open onto a private European style balcony adorned with fresh flowers, a bottle of Prosecco and a box of decadent Lady M signature truffles presented upon arrival, an Introduction to Pole Dancing Class for two, two Diva manicures at New York's acclaimed Dashing Diva Salon, daily European style breakfast at the hotel and a certificate for complimentary Sangrias and Tapas at Barna Restaurant adjacent to the hotel.
That's right: pole dancing. Okay so if we'd have to really pick a specific SATC theme for this package, we'd probably call it "Samantha and Sangria" or something, because we're not so sure Charlotte would approve. . . but we sure do.
Package valid through September 1st, 2008; $445 per person per day with a two-night minimum stay.
