Man, Hilton has been all about making new friends lately: earlier this week, they welcomed the super-cool Ross Klein and now they're welcoming our own four-legged BFF's!
Yesterday, Hilton announced plans to welcome doggers and kitties into their hotels by the end of the summer.
Hilton's new Pet Friendly program will designate a handful of rooms in each hotel to boast a variety of special amenities to pamper your furry little monster.
Pet Friendly rooms will feature pet beds and accessories designed by William Wegman (the photographer famous for those cute Weimaraner portraits).
Plus, the carpets, drapery and upholstered furniture will undergo special deep-cleaning procedures between each furry guest so your dog won't be going insane and sniffing around all over the place.
Some specifics:
"The Hilton Pet Friendly collection will include a stain-, water- and microbial-resistant pet bed, as well as food and water bowls with placemat, and an exclusive pet amenity kit complete with dog waste clean-up bags and treats. . . Participating Hiltons will also offer pet concierge service with information about local dog runs, veterinarian offices and pet boutiques."
Right now, the Pet Friendly program is only launching in Hilton's American properties, but the project will be extended to international properties later on.
And speaking of hotel doggies, all of Kimpton's Canine Conceirges (the pups that chill behind the conceirge desks at some Kimpton properties) have their own pages on the Facebook application Dogbook. And they're all friends with each other and talk about pet-friendly activities at their respective Kimpton hotels! Cute!
We're psyched that companies are finally giving sufficient lovin' to our furry family members, but all of this reminds us of the last time we traveled with our little monster and . . . well, Tank won't be checking out these rooms any time soon.
