LA's Hotel Bar Scene Kicks Into High Gear

Hey, LA: do you hear that clickity-clack sound? That's a stampede of stilleto-clad starlets and wanna-be starlets heading straight toward you for some summertime party action.

But no need to lock up your booze cabinet; they have no desire to raid your house now that a bunch of new hotel bar hotspots have opened.

The LA Times reports that Suede inside the Westin Bonaventure is opened up yesterday (June 22nd), adding a second, slightly-more-private bar to their ground floor.

Phil Spector is most definitely not welcome there.

While Mr. Spector was making a spectacle (har har) of himself with his varied collection of legal troubles and poor life choices, the Hotel Palomar's Boulevard 16 was the place to be seen last Tuesday night -- the bar and restaurant had a big grand opening bash.

Not to be out-swanked, The London West Hollywood will be looking to steal the spotlight soon with its new lounge (tentatively called The Mews) when it opens in 2009, but for now...

The stiletto-starlets will be clamoring to get into the just-opened(!) rooftop bar at the Thompson Beverly Hills. We didn't realize the bar, ABH, would be opening so soon since the pool is still not ready for any swimmers, but the we learned that the bar is only open to hotel guests at this point.

How exclusive! How Hollywood!
