The madness and rush of the casino floor was quickly forgotten when we got inside and looked around our spacious suite. The decor of the room was tan tones and mildly classic-european style. The standout feature of the room is the sunken seating area with a huge L-shaped couch, desk with phone and fax and big flat screen.
Once we had time to settle down, we appreciated how good a shape everything had remained given the kind of traffic a hotel like this sees. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the linen was fine enough to inspire us to wrap ourselves in it like Venetians of centuries past.
The bathrooms were again, huge, and the green marble vanity and gold fixtures make a striking contrast and reminded us of....what's the word..? Oh yeah, opulence. The big jetted tub, separate shower and separate doored room for the toilet was all impeccably clean.
The public spaces of the hotel were less impeccable. The table sitting by the elevators on our floor looked like it had been attacked by an angry gambler with vampire teeth, and he was probably pissed off when he bit into beaver board behind the faux-wood veneer.
At the end of the night we were pleased to come back to such a large, well-appointed suite that had everything we wanted. And if things aren't going well at the tables for you, you can bring your friends up to your room and party there comfortably.
