A W or a Westin Going Up on Orchard Street in NYC?

We received this question from a reader in our inboxes over the weekend:

Hey Hotel Chatter! Right behind the Thompson LES is a new building going up (looks like its between Orchard and Ludlow, but primarily on orchard). The construction guys say its a Westin or W (to be decided) but nothing is listed on Starwood.com. Any news as to whats going up?? Its literally right behind Thompson LES.

We are checking with the city's tourism organization right now and we've got our Starwood Stalker hunting it down as well but if you have any further information on what could be ruining the Thompson LES's plan for hipster domination, let us know.
