Rooms at Thompson LES Now Open on July 22

It seems that Thompson LES has pushed back the opening date again but fortunately it's only by a week instead of two years.

Last we heard, the hotel was going to open July 15. Now that date has moved back to July 22. But you can make reservations online. We found a Queen Superior Room for July 22 for $299 a night. Not really a steal but NYC in the summer in a new hotel on the LES--guess that's not too bad.

Here's what's inside the rooms:

Our Queen Superior rooms have been designed with an industrial loft-like feel and feature a Queen bed with 400 thread count custom SFERRA linens. Light box headboards feature Lee Friedlander photography. Bathrooms feature oversized terry robes and amenities by Fresh. Entertainment options include flat screen TVs with movies on demand and i-Pod docking stations.

Also thrown in are complimentary WiFi, Dean and Deluca and Eli Zabar snacks. No word on whether the rooftop pool will be open July 22 as well. The restaurant from Susur Lee is not expected until September.
