Some of the residences already look finished and we even spotted curtains in some of the windows. That's promising, but until we magically come into a bajillion dollars to buy one of those, we're only interested in the hotel side...which is not done.
When it opens, the 271-room hotel will feature a two-story lobby, a restaurant, a bar, retail plaza, a full-service spa and a huge apres-ski deck overlooking the river.
But if the hotel is open for ski season, it might be worth the wait this summer: one of the biggest draws is the gondola within the development, which eliminates the need for hotel guests to shuttle up to the lifts on Beaver Creek Mountain. This is a HUGE draw.
We called to check on the official status of the project. The verdict: the hotel will be open in late August, but reservations will not officially be taken until October "just in case."
Maybe we should just go ahead and buy one of the condos "just in case." Donations accepted.
Rooms start at $119 per night in the off-season and jump to around $250 when ski season kicks off. Reservations can be made by calling 866-949-1616 or online.
