The article in The Philadelphia Business Journal is unbelievably brief about what the hotel has to offer but that's probably because they, like us, are so weary from the Aloft hotel hype. So expect all the usual Aloft amenities plus a kiosk where you can print out your boarding passes.
The article also notes that the room prices will be twice the going rate of other area airport hotels, "according to PKF Consulting, which tracks hotel rates. Average rates at hotels near the Philadelphia airport were $111 in April and $167 in Center City Philadelphia." We found a room on opening day at the Aloft for $189 a night with no cancellations or refunds allowed. $209 was the more flexible rate.
Thus it's a contradiction, given that according to reports, former Starwood president Ross Klein touted the Aloft chain as being less expensive and more accessible than W Hotels in general.
You'll clearly be winning - and losing -- if you opt for Aloft.
