More Luxury Hotels Camping it Up This Summer

From the Australian bush to the Santa Barbara coast, luxury campgrounds have been bringing the comforts of a hotel to the campsite. Now, hotels are bringing the comfort of the campfire to their posh properties.

Like The W before them, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek and the Fairmont Mission Inn Sonoma are hosting marshmallow-roasting s'more sessions at their firepits. And this summer, Starwood Hotels have launched a full-blown camp-inspired program called Love Your Family.

At 29 properties including Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, and The Luxury Collection, new "Directors of Fun" (yes, that is someone's actual job title) will lead fireside storytime with s'mores and professional storytellers, stargazing nights with astronomy talks, and "Dive-In Movie" nights where guests can swim alongside a big screen that's playing family-friendly movies.

We're assuming Jaws won't be in the lineup.
