NBA Finals Hotels :: The Omni LA as a Last-Minute Pick for Game 3

With the Lakers and Celtics going head-to-head tonight for Game 3 of the NBA finals at the Staples Center, we wanted to check on one of those LA Hotel Picks we rounded up for any fans lookin' for a last-minute place to crash.
So if you're still looking to score a room near the Staples Center, we'd point you toward the Omni Hotel Downtown as the close-but-not-too-close option for bigtime basketball fans -- there's free internet (yay!) and it's near the baller Standard Hotel rooftop bar.
Sweeping views of the city and gorgeous people will help you to either celebrate a sweet victory or drown your sorrows in rounds and rounds of drinks.
We scoped out the Omni, and rates for tonight really aren't too bad! The "Net Savvy" rate (through their website) for a deluxe room is a decent $269.00, so you'll have enough money to spring for the top-shelf liquor after all.
If that's too high a price to pay (especially if you ponied up money for actual game tickets) consider your luck on an opaque booking site. And there's always the Holiday Inn.
As for groupie hotels: no word yet on where the Boston Celtics have been hunkered down. However, if you're into NBA ballers from all teams, we can give you this: a So-Cal Sports Hub blogger spotted LeBron James at the Peninsula Beverly Hills on Saturday -- so stalk away.
