For example, when guests arrive they're treated extra-well: doormen with white gloves do the door opening, and in the lobby you get offered a chilled bottle of water and a heated hand towel.
Nice start. The future apparently promises extras like personalized business cards for all travelers, loan computers in their rooms and air-conditioned pool cabanas.
There were a couple of complaints though: housekeeping failed to clean the Herman's room for two consecutive days (ouch!) and the rooms aren't well sound-proofed--the freeway and train noises kept them awake. Sounds like it's worth a stay if you get a cheap rate but otherwise it might be worth holding off until more guests start giving it a bit more atmosphere.
