Baltimore is going to get a massive convention center hotel this summer that might actually be cool.

The Hilton Baltimore will open in the city's downtown Inner Harbor, directly across from Oriole Park at Camden Yards and connected to the Baltimore Convention Center by one of those cool, enclosed, pedestrian skybridgey things.

For baseball fans the hotel will also have views of Oriole Park so you can watch the Baltimore Oriole baseball games from your rooms. And it gets even better. The hotel will have ten hospitality suites overlooking the ballpark with prime balcony views of the field.

Guests can stay here overnight or they can choose to stay in one of the Double Beds BallPark View guest room, of which there are 448.

More on what's inside after the jump

Inside all of the guestrooms (of which there are 757!!):

All guestrooms at Hilton Baltimore feature Hilton Serenity CollectionTM bedding and bath experience with Suite Dreams® plush-top mattress, down duvet and pillows, and exclusive Crabtree & Evelyn La Source® bath products. Business travelers will enjoy sizable in-room work stations, with an ergonomic desk chair, two phones, voicemail and data port.

The hotel will also sport an Executive Floor where guests get a private check-in and access to complimentary food and beverage service in the hotel's Executive Lounge.

Rounding out the amenities are an heated indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna, Hilton Fitness by Precor® USA Center, fine dining and a lobby bar.

Reservations are open now for arrival after August 24th. We found a room that night for $299, which is not really a deal or a special introductory opening rate. You can book a web special at $274 but that's non-refundable.

Whenever you go and however much you pay, we sincerely hope they don't charge you to use the fitness center like the Capitol Hilton in neighboring DC. Talk about an endorphin kill!
