Dedicated readers of HotelChatter know that they will never find us at the Rehab pool parties that take place every Sunday at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

It probably all stems from this review where a guest saw people engaging in "sex acts" by the pool. That and the copious amounts of video and photos we've seen. It makes the Jersey Shore look tame!

So when we got this press release on the Rehab Las Vegas website (a microsite of the Hard Rock's site) we didn't really care. Then we looked closer and realized that even if you can't physically get to Rehab you can still participate in all the trashy shenanigans.Keep on reading for the full release

The site allows users to play a game involving girl-on-girl fights in the pool where players can advance to levels ranging from cell phone throwing supermodel to axe murder.

In addition, users can download a widget for their desktop complete with a midget who pops up from time to time, rate photos from weekly updated party galleries and send them to friends or to their Myspace page, enter the Ms. Rehab contest or vote on the latest contestants and watch weekly Rehab "trailers" online for the scoop on upcoming poolside concerts and celebrity check-ins.

Yeah...sooo...there's much we're gonna add here. But remember Morgans Hotel Group which holds such previously swanky properties like the Clift Hotel, The Mondrian, the Royalton, and the Hudson Hotel, is also the owner/manager of Hard Rock.

So we just have to ask: WWISD? What Would Ian Schrager Do?

Why rehab?

I was thinking, this is not exactly most people's idea on rehab, definitely not the idea of a Catholic drug rehab. Why did they name the event like this, what are they rehabilitating? The deprivation?

just entertainment

Although a bit outrageous for some, these pools side rehab parties are yet another form of entertainment and the rich and bored are bound to attend. I for one am none of those so I'll just keep my distance form such activities.
