Conquistador Hotel in Cordoba, about 45 minutes outside of Seville, proved the hotel might just be the best bargain in the area.
At first, we were skeptical of a hotel that dubbed itself as a four-star property and charged just $120 per night, but we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel's clean and simple--though basic--rooms, equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar and Wi-Fi.
We steered clear of Conquistador's somewhat pricey restaurant, but definitely took advantage of its open-air courtyard where guests often gathered for coffee or cocktails (pictured). Plus, the hotel has a can't-beat location, directly across from the Mezquita and a short walk to Calle de las Flores, two of Cordoba's more popular attractions.
We comparison shopped neighboring hotels and hostals and were hard pressed to find anything better, though perhaps we're biased (we can be fiercely loyal). Got a Cordoba hotel tip? Share it with us in the comments.
