Check-In and Service
Let us preface everything by saying we arrived a week after high season ended. It was like going to Ocean City in October. D-E-A-D.
Check-in was easy enough, but service here was pretty curt. Our Spanish isn't that bad.
Room Reaction
A canopy bed?! Place looks like a seaside cottage decorated by a crazy cat lady. Still, we hardly spent any time in the room, which made it entertaining rather than grating.
The Bathroom
Was fairly large, and like so many places we stayed came with weak amenities. But there was a bidet!
Internet
We couldn't get wireless in our room, but the signal in the lobby was strong and the connection fast.
Bar and Restaurant Scene
There's a restaurant, but we were too timid to try it. (Low season specials? No thanks.)
There are plenty of other restaurants around to try, so we'd consider the Posta del Cangrejo's a last resort.
Bottom Line
No wonder Bush, Sr. stayed here: It's quiet, it's (a little) stuffy and it's probably seen better days. The price was right, though, and it's steps from the ocean. Just don't go expecting too much.
