Room With an Anti-View: Handy Hospital at the Liberty in Boston
You know the scene. You open the door to your brand new hotel room, run over to the window, open the blinds and bam, you are hit with the anti-view. Maybe you are looking down a dirty alley, witnessing a drug deal, staring at an air shaft in the face, or seeing a brick wall. Whatever you are viewing it is not extremely pleasurable. Help out your fellow hotel mavens by uploading your anti-views to the HotelChatter/Flickr photo pool, or by sending the photo along to us. Remember to tell us the name of the hotel and the room number with the not-so-easy-on-the-eyes view.

We're always keen for our hotels to have a convenient location, but we have a feeling that the new luxury boutique Liberty Hotel in Boston is a little too convenient to the Massachusetts General Hospital. As the guests who snapped this Anti-View said, "We had a great view of the Eye & Ear Infirmary"--just what you're after during a stay in Boston.
Fortunately, you can see from these video tours that the inside views at the Liberty are prettier than those you get if your window faces directly to the hospital; of course, there are some rooms without such un-charming views. They also have a few nice package deals going, including the Guilty Pleasure Romance Package, which include a 3pm checkout, champagne, chocolate-dipped strawberries and an intimacy kit; quite different to that is the Paw Prints package where "small, well trained dogs" are welcome, as long as you book them in by type and name when you're making your reservation.
Room rates are averaging out around $400 + per night now, more for packages but you can get some meals thrown in (and stuff for your dog, as long as he's good).
