Quikbook's 2007 List of Most Booked Hotels Is Mixed

March 4, 2008 at 9:35 AM | by amandak | 0 Comments

The gang over at Quikbook have been counting up booking figures from 2007 and have been able to come up with their most booked list for five major US cities. If you haven't dropped by, Quikbook is a hotel booking site that offers specially negotiated discounts at a few key hotels in major cities, with bookings that you can adjust or cancel without penalty.

On their most booked list for 2007, Quikbook found that their most popular hotel in New York City was the budget-priced Park South Hotel on East 28th; the finally-opened Six Columbus came in second. Over in Chicago, another non-luxury hotel came out on top, the Millennium Knickerbocker, although it's currently being renovated so it may not come up on top again in 2008 while renos are in progress. Second in Chicago was the Talbott Hotel, despite our concerns that it's either short-staffed or has unhelpful staff.

On the west coast, the most booked Los Angeles hotel was another slow-to-open place, the Thompson Beverly Hills. In San Francisco, the old stalwart Hotel Nikko pulled in the most reservations off Quikbook. Of course, the most booked doesn't really mean much here: Quikbook has its favorites and that's where most of the bookings go, rather than potential guests really having a lot of say in what might be the best spot.
