Dine By Candlelight at a Four Seasons For Earth Hour

With Earth Hour coming up this Saturday, we hope you're all working out where you're going to be when you turn the lights out for an hour to remind us all about conserving energy. We previewed the special "Dine in the Dark" menu at the Observatory Hotel in Sydney, and have just learned that a bunch of Four Seasons hotels are taking part too.

Timezones mean they'll be starting out with the Four Seasons Sydney, with an 8.00pm candlelit dinner. Similar events will carry on through 34 other Four Seasons properties, with the final three taking place on the west coast of the US.

The pick of the bunch sounds like the Earth Hour dinner at The Blvd restaurant at the Beverly Wilshire. Their chef's concocted a menu using produce entirely from local and sustainable farmers and the menu sounds pretty delicious:

a baby purple artichoke salad with parmesan, truffle and spring onion vinaigrette and a thyme espuma Sonoma lamb rack encrusted with black olive ricotta gnochetti with fava beans and heirloom tomatoes. Galante strawberry shortcake with macerated green market strawberries will be offered as a delicious ending.
