Room With an Anti-View: Winter's Arrived at Swissotel Chicago

You know the scene. You open the door to your brand new hotel room, run over to the window, open the blinds and bam, you are hit with the anti-view. Maybe you are looking down a dirty alley, witnessing a drug deal, staring at an air shaft in the face, or seeing a brick wall. Whatever you are viewing it is not extremely pleasurable. We're sorry, Chicago Swissotel. We don't mean to pick on you, but first it was the construction site that spoiled what would otherwise be some pretty nice views. And this week, things have got worse.

Our friends in Chicago had already given us a heads up that the standard Chicago winter had set in. So when we saw this picture, taken by guests staying in the Chicago Swissotel on Monday and Tuesday of this week, we really did giggle. The only thing we can suggest is that this kind of weather makes a better view than a construction site, at least.
