Thanks to some serious consideration by Belvedere, the presenting liquor sponsor, every table offered complimentary bottle service, with bowls of ice blue rock candy and jellybeans to sweeten the deal.
Waitresses cinched into satin corset tanks delivered white cranberry martinis to those who hadn't managed to score one of the prime seats. For the drinkers in attendance not at the show itself, scenes from the Tibi catwalk played on flatscreen TVs behind the bar.
While the designs were riveting, we were even more entranced/horrified by one couple who, despite the utter lack of dancing by anyone else at the event, gave their own chemically enhanced bump-and-grind performance just below the DJ booth.
Even the organizers seemed at loss of how to handle the unscheduled entertainment. Oh well...guess even the best-laid velvet rope policies don't always keep out the riff-raff.
