Hotel Riverview Saga Continues

Where: 113 Jane St. [map], New York, ny, United States, 10014

Oh Hotel Riverview. You're a never-ending maze of paperwork and Potemkin villages set up to keep us from figuring out what's going on. Sad thing is, so far it's sorta working.

Here's what we do know: The stop work order is still in place on Eric Goode and Sean MacPherson's property, as it has been since January 8. But the Department of Buildings has also issued a work permit for "Demolition of interior partitions and the installation of new partitions," good until January 21, 2009.

Weird, right? The other thing we know is that Hotel Associates is starting to slink out of the picture. Department of Finance records show they transferred the deed over to Jane St. Hospitality on January 10, so that's now the shadowy organization to watch.

The reason for the transfer is because there would be no way in hell that the DOB would give the old owners a certificate of non-harrassment so they may be trying to loophole it.

I agree with the above comments from
"Laksmi Devi"!!! they are finding this loophole to start their work.
Also,if i may add tenants were given forms to complete a list of "items" that they needed in their rooms- such as: exterminator, repairs etc, etc, and hand them back to Landlord...so far you have to chase the staff & landlord to get these "items" repaired!!!

    Re: Hotel Riverview Saga Continues

Now they have posted flyers up all over the building saying they will be doing rewiring and construction on floors 2 through six starting March 13 even though there is a stop work order posted up front and listed as active on the NY dept of buildings website.

    here is the truth

This comment represents and speaks for all the tenants of "the jane hotel" formally known as the " hotel riverview". Only a small percent of us are left after a year of major harassment consisting of construction, bed bugs, rats and mice. sean macphearson and eric goode do not have any regards for humane rights and that is a fact. We have had to live with that fact, but not for long
