'Stan' From Standard Hotels is Booted Off Facebook

According to CondeNast Portfolio, hotelier Andre Balazs and his Standard Hotels chain are no longer welcome on Facebook.

Turns out Facebook member Stan D'Arde, a 38-year old, bisexual from Haiti who loves high fashion and blogs about such for the Standards was opining the multitude of pleasures of his Standard Hotel stays. The only thing is "Stan" was really none other than the sales/marketing wonks at Standard Hotels. And once Facebook discovered that Stan the man was an imposter, they ripped his content from the blogosphere.

You see, Mr. Balazs and co. violated the site's Terms of Use agreement which states that fake user profiles are prohibited.

And we thought that only eastern Fakirs traveling village to village could conjure up magical reviews.

    who is that? i did cursory google search and found a bunch of party pics. maybe she works at standard?

    either way, this was silly. standard hotels should have just come up with a standard hotels page like Le Meridien did on Facebook.
